Next, we have Dutch Babies or German Pancakes. These were some of the first things I learned how to make. I first made them in my 8th-grade cooking class.
They go by both names here in the United States however, they aren’t really Dutch or German. I have gotten several comments in the past from people who live in Germany saying that these are not German pancakes. That is because they are not. They were invented in the United States and are very close to the American Popover and even the Yorkshire pudding. But we still call them German pancakes or Dutch babies, haha.
German pancakes are eggy, crispy on the edges, light and fluffy, and taste amazing. Top them with the same toppings that you would other pancakes. Lemon juice and powdered sugar are very common toppings.
Next time you are craving pancakes try out these Dutch Babies/German Pancakes.

10: Classic French Crepes
And finally, number ten, on the list of 10 easy pancake recipes, we have classic French crepes. Other parts of the world call these “thin pancakes” but here in the States and of course France and other places we call them crepes and not thin pancakes. Crepes are in fact very thin pancakes without baking powder or baking soda.
They also kind of look like Mexican tortillas, although that as far as the resemblance goes. Crepes originated in France and have been eaten for hundreds of years. Since its beginning, other countries have come up with their own versions of it.
French crepes are eaten with sweet filling and toppings as well as savory. My favorite is sweet crepes. Crepes are probably one of my all-time favorite things to eat for breakfast along with a side of bacon and over-easy eggs.
