Calling all candy bar lovers! I absolutely love candy bars, and I love making them at home. They always turn out so much better than the store-bought versions. Here are 8 copycat candy bar recipes that you need to try!
1. Homemade Twix – Copycat Candy Bar Recipes
One of my all-time favorite candy bars is the Twix bar. What is not to like about shortbread with caramel and chocolate? Did you know Twix was actually first created in the United Kingdom in 1967? It wasn’t until 1976 that it made its way to the United States, where it quickly became one of the most popular candy bars in America.

2. Copycat Crunch Bars
Next up, we have the Nestle Crunch Bar. The Crunch bar has a rich history behind it; it was invented in 1938 in Fulton, NY, as a cheap and affordable treat option during the Depression. Chocolate covering crisped rice is such a genius combination. I can see why they are so popular.
Why do I like making them at home? Well, because I get to use whatever kind of chocolate I want. Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate, etc., all make wonderful Crunch bars.

3. Homemade Almond Joys – Copycat Candy Bar Recipes
I will admit, when I was a kid, I did not like Almond Joys. I guess it was because I didn’t like coconut back then. As I got older, I grew to enjoy the taste of coconut. Maybe it is because I lived in the Philippines for a couple of years, where coconuts are very plentiful. I really enjoy them now, and I love almonds.

The Almond Joy was created by the Peter Paul Candy Company in 1946 as a different version of their Mounds candy bar. Hershey’s later acquired that company.
4. Homemade Snickers Bar
Next, we have one of the most popular candy bars in the United States, the Snickers Bar. This is also one of my all-time favorite candy bars. They are so delicious with that classic nougat and peanuts, and caramel covered in milk chocolate. They are so yummy!
Don’t let the idea of making homemade nougat scare you; while technically it is one of the more difficult candy bars to make, it is still very manageable. Follow this homemade Snickers bar recipe to make your own at home.
5. Snickers Crisper
Several years ago, the Mars company came out with a new type of Snickers bar called the Snickers Crisper, with its classic blue wrapper and the square shape of the bar. The key difference is that the inside does not have nougat; instead, it has a type of Rice Krispies treat in the middle. They still have peanuts and caramel, and of course are covered in chocolate. They are so good!

6. Kit Kat Bars – Copycat Candy Bar Recipes
“Give me a break, give me a break, break me off a piece of that KitKat Bar.” Do you remember that classic candy bar jingle? Next up, we have the famous KitKat bar. This is also one of my favorite candy bars to eat and to make. And it couldn’t be simpler to make a copycat one at home.

7. Dubai Chocolate Bars
The famous Dubai chocolate bar has taken the chocolate bar world by storm in recent years. Known for being large, heavy, and incredibly expensive, they are packed with flavor and are so tasty to eat with different textures and flavors that are so appealing.
This candy bar is actually relatively new; it is only about 4 years old at the time of this post. It, of course, was founded in the United Arab Emirates, in Dubai, and I am so glad it was. It is one of my new favorite candy bars.

8. Homemade Peanut Butter Cups
And last but not least, that brings me to the last of my copycat candy bar recipes. While technically not considered a candy bar, you could easily shape it into a bar instead of a cup, haha. And I had to include it because Peanut Butter Cups are absolutely amazing. Homemade ones taste so much better than Reese’s as well. Yup, I said it. This is probably the most popular treat that I make and bring to parties. They are always a hit and usually the first treats to disappear.
