- 3/4 cup of peanut butter 195g
- 1 Tbsp of butter 14g
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups powdered sugar 187.5 to 250 g
- 8 to 11 ounces of Candy Melts or Chocolate bars chocolate chips, etc.
Toppings
- Mini chocolate chips
- Chopped Nuts
- Coconut flakes
- White chocolate
Add the peanut butter to a medium bowl. Melt the butter in the microwave or on the stovetop and pour it into the bowl. Mix those two ingredients together.
Now add the powdered sugar a little at a time mixing it in, until you are left with a play dough consistency. In other words, until the peanut butter mixture is no longer sticky.
Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave with bursts of 25 seconds and stirring in between. Add a few teaspoons of shortening to the chocolate to make it runnier if needed.
Using clean hands or wear gloves, take about a tablespoon of the peanut butter mixture and roll it into a ball. Then dip it into the chocolate with a spoon or fork. Place it on a sheet pan or cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat. If you want to put toppings on it, sprinkle those on while the chocolate is still wet.
Once you are done dipping the peanut butter balls, place the pan into the fridge to allow the chocolate to set. This will take 20 to 30 minutes. After that, it is time to enjoy them. Can you eat just one?
