Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade
If you love strawberries and you love lemonade, you have got to try this sparkling strawberry lemonade. It is so refreshing and super easy to make.
Servings: 10 people
- 1 cup of lemon juice freshly squeezed or bottled (235mL)
- 6 cups of sparkling water 1410mL
- 2 cups of sugar 450g
- 2 cups of filtered water or good tasting tap water (470mL)
- 2 cups of strawberries you can add more(400g)
- sliced strawberries to float on the top
Pour the two cups of white granulated sugar and 2 cups of filtered water into a sauce pot and bring it to a boil, stirring occasionally. Once you get it to a bowl take it off the heat and let it cool for 20 to 30 minutes.
Now take about 1/2 cup of the simple syrup and put it in a food processor or blender. Then add in the 2 cups of strawberries, you can definitely use more strawberries then 2 cups if you like. Then blend the ingredients together.
Pour the strawberry puree into a serving container, then add in the rest of the simple syrup (or only half if you don't want it really sweet, you can always add in more after to sweeten it up). Then add in the sparkling water and the lemon juice. Next, stir it all together with a long spoon. Add some sliced strawberries to float around on the top, if you like. Also, you may want to add some fresh mint leaves to float on the top as well.Serve it in a cup of ice. I don't recommend adding a bunch of ice directly to the container of lemonade, it gets diluted quickly. I find individual glasses of ice is better. But you can do what you like. Enjoy!
