Equipment

  • Microwave-safe bowl or pot
  • Very large bowl
  • Spatula
  • Large plastic bag, optional
  • Lid for the bowl, optional

Ingredients

  • 9 cups of rice or corn Chex any flavor (278g)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet, milk chocolate, dark chocolate (170g)
  • 1/4 cup butter salted or unsalted (56g)
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter 120g
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract 5ml
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups powdered sugar doesn't have to be exact (180 to 240g)
  • M&Ms Nuts, etc., optional

Instructions

  • Measure out the Rice Chex or you can also use corn Chex and place in a large bowl. You can also use the other flavors of Chex or a combination of them.
  • Now add the chocolate chips, butter, and peanut butter to a microwave-safe bowl. Melt in the microwave using bursts of 30 seconds on high, and then stirring, until it is all melted and smooth.
Then mix in the vanilla extract.
  • Now pour the melted chocolate mixture over the bowl of Chex. Use a spatula to stir until the Chex are evenly coated with the chocolate mixture.
  • You can add the chocolate Chex to a bag and then add the powdered sugar and shake it to coat them, or leave them in the large bowl and just stir the powdered sugar with the Chex.
Also, if you have a lid for the bowl, put the lid on and then shake it that way.
Once covered in powdered sugar they are ready. Super easy right? Place in a serving bowl and enjoy!
