  • Bowls
  • Spatula
  • sheet pan
  • parchment paper or silicon mat

  • 4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats don't use 1 minute oat (360g)
  • 1/3 cup of pecans or any of your favorite nut (50g)
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds or other nuts and seed (40g)
  • 1/2 tsp. of table salt 2g
  • 1 tsp. of cinnamon 4g
  • 1/2 cup of coconut oil 105g
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract 4ml
  • 1/4 cup of honey 85g
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup 85g
  • 1 cup of craisins or other dried fruit

  • First let's preheat the oven to 350 F (176 C). Now let's add our pecans, almonds, salt, and cinnamon to a large bowl with our old-fashioned rolled oats. Mix until well combined.
  • Now we take our coconut oil and add it to a medium sized bowl. Heat it up in the microwave or on the stove top beforehand, until completely melted, but not hot. Now add the vanilla extract, honey, and maple syrup. You can use all honey or all maple syrup if you like. :) Stir those all together until combined.
  • Next we pour the wet ingredients in with our dry ingredients and stir to combine.
  • Now we add the unbaked granola to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or silicon mat. Spread it out with a spoon or spatula then bake it for about 12 minutes. After 12 minutes take it out of the oven and stir it, then pat it back down. We want to ensure even baking. Back in the oven it goes for another 12 to 14 minutes until it gets lightly golden brown on top. Once baked, let it cool completely, at least 45 minutes to an hour.
  • Next once the granola has cooled it is time to break it up. Place it in a bowl or a ziplock bag. Then add your craisins or other dried fruit. There you go homemade granola! Enjoy! :)

The serving size for these is right around 1/3 cup, so you should be able to get around 20 servings give or take.
